Google Pixel and Pixel XL officially announced

Two phones the Pixel and Pixel XL  comes in 5" and 5.5" inch size respectively. Both have AMOLED screens, with 1080p resolution for the small one (441ppi) and QHD for the big one (534ppi). Battery capacity is also different, 2,770mAh and 3,450mAh.

                         


Both Phones are more similar, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and Android 7.1 Nougat with 4GB of RAM.The camera on rear 12MP sensor, 1.55µm pixels, f/2.0 aperture with Electronic Image Stabilization,DxOMark gave it a rating of 89, which is the highest rating of any smartphone ever.The Google Pixel and Pixel XL have the same storage options - 32GB and 128GB .Both Pixel phones get unlimited Google Photos storage for photos at full resolution.

Both devices also don’t support microSD expansion, but Google is throwing in a special treat for Pixel owners. Pixel and Pixel XL buyers get free unlimited Google Photos storage at full resolution, which will definitely come in handy for many folks out there.

The Pixels branded only with the Google logo(though build by HTC) comes with Google services that cover everything from messaging, through cloud services to AI assistants. The search giant has a growing stable of self-branded devices,the Google phone can connect to a Google router and cast to a Google media player.The Pixel and Pixel XL also both have 24/7 customer care built in. You’ll be able to call or chat with a representative at any time, and also share your screen.

The Pixel Phones are price starts $649(£599/£699) for the 32GB/128GB Pixel and £719/£819 for the 32GB/128GB Pixel XL.

Pre-orders in the UK, US, Australia, Canada and Germany have already launched and in India will start on October 13, with actual sales beginning a week later, October 20.

Google is also making Live Cases available for the Pixel and Pixel XL. You’ll be able to customize the cases with art, locations or your own photos, and each one also ships with a companion live wallpaper.
