The company has confirmed that the new chip comes with 10% faster boot loads and 10% faster app loads. The chip supports Google’s Daydream platform. The SoC also supports dual phase detection, which should improve the AF as compared to the regular PDAF. There are improvements in the ISP as well to better work with Laser AF. Finally, the company surprisingly adds that the energy efficiency is improved by 5%.

We can expect SD821 phones in September from companies like Asus, Xiaomi and LeEco.
