Meizu MX6 is now official
Meizu MX6 was
made official today at a dedicated event in Beijing..The MX6 is powered by the Helio X20 chip with a deca-core processor
(2x A72@2.3GHz, 4x A53@2.0GHz, 4x A53@1.4GHz), Mali-T880MP4 GPU, and 4GB
of RAM. The Pro 6 used Helio X25 chip, which has a slightly faster A72
cores and a tad higher clock on the GPU.
The main camera is quite interesting - it's a 12MP Sony IMX386 1/2.9" type sensor with 1.4µm pixel size and f/2.0 lens, phase-detection AF, and dual-tone flash. This should be the first phone to use this sensor and Meizu says its quality is similar to the Galaxy S7 series' snappers. The rest of the MX6 specs highlights include 32GB storage, a 5MP selfie shooter, dual-SIM support, LTE Cat.6 connectivity, and a 3,060 mAh battery capable of fast 24W charging.
Finally, the MX6 runs on the latest Flyme with a Marshmallow core. The phone will be available in the traditional Gray, Gold, and Silver flavors. The first market to get the Meizu MX6 is China - it is priced at CNY 1,999 ($299) there. The registration process opens today, while sales begin on July 30.
